Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth looked to have a lovely day in New York City yesterday. The pair enjoyed lunch with a friend at Soho House before heading over to C. Wonder and other retail stores for some good ol’ shopping.

American Idol Has Big Changes Coming Its Way — But Enough To Save The Show?!

It’s no secret that American Idol hasn’t been doing so well lately, despite the publicity from Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj’s feud.
Last week’s episode brought in the show’s lowest ratings, with just around 11 million viewers — down an overall 22% since last season — which means that if the show wants to remain on the air next season, it’s going to need some MAJOR changes. YIKES!
We’re sure all will be revealed in due time, but for now, any of the following changes could potentially happen, including some rumored “format tweaks…”
Say bye bye to Nicki and Mariah, or so we think. Idol will most likely be getting itself some new judges. A source revealed:
“The show has always taken pride in being about the contestants, not the judges. And if the judges had a little rapport with each other, it wouldn’t be all about them. Instead, all anybody ever wants to talk about is how the judges don’t get along. It’s exactly what producers didn’t want.”
The show might have to cut out its Theme Nights to stay current on the music scene. It must be able to compete with the younger, hipper Voice. As the source said, “these contestants are not interested in the old stuff.”
In fact, producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick, who have been running the show so far, might also have to be replaced due to their more conservative music taste.
Idol’s summer tour might also have to be scrapped for the sake of saving costs.
Hmm, we wonder which of these will be implemented. We just hope they’ll be enough to fix the show’s current problems and boost future ratings!!

Fall Out Boy Continue To Save Rock And Roll By Topping The Charts!

Fall Out Boy may have been kidding on the square when they named their fifth album Save Rock And Roll, but one thing isn’t a joke- the sales!
The fall out from the viral campaign and risky release of the entire album on YouTube a week early turned out to be more of a windfall.
The record has premiered at Number One on the Billboard 200 albums chart!
FOB had an amazing week, selling 154,000 copies- not quite as many as the best weeks of Infinity On High or From Under The Cork Tree, but considering the changes to the music industry since then, the numbers are quite impressive!
Save Rock And Roll indeed!
