Game Of Thrones Beer Released To Celebrate Season 3!

It may not be mead or Dornish red, but at least we can actually find it at our local grocery store!
Just in time for the third season three premiere, Belgian-style Brewery Ommegang is releasing the first official Game Of Thrones beer!
Iron Throne is a blonde ale, so we know it’s not one of King Robert Baratheon’s children!
Allison Capozza, a spokesperson for Ommegang, says:
“HBO approached us last year. The producers of the show are fans of Ommegang beers and they thought that would be a good fit for them for this project.”
New York-based Ommegang plans on releasing other varieties of GoT-inspired ales over the course of the show.
Maybe one day we can “take the black” with a Night’s Watch Dark Lager!

Girl Scout Cookie Beer Exists And Sounds DELICIOUS!

WELL THEN YOU’RE IN LUCK! Ha!
Girl Scout Cookie Season is over on Sunday, so we have the perfect way for you to replace one addiction for another (joking, of course — if you’re actually addicted to food OR alcohol, get help, not gimmick substances!) — Girl Scout Cookie-inspired beers!
Apparently Cevercería de MateVeza in the Mission uses magic to match the tastes of the dessert treats, because there are no actual cookies in the beers, just dead-on recreations of the flavors like peppermint porter (Thin Mints), peanut butter cream ale (Do-si-dos), shortbread golden ale (Trefoils), salted chocolate stout with peanut butter (Peanut Butter Patties), and a Belgian dubbel with coconut and cocoa nibs (Samoas).
Ugh, we’re drooling just thinking about these!
The beers are available right now, but there’s only ONE KEG OF EACH flavor, and they estimate that that at least a few will run out tonight and tomorrow. Plus, each beer gets paired with it’s cookie. Not bad!
We’d love to taste these, how about U??
