Sorry, Netflix! EPIX Strikes Deal With Amazon Prime Too

Amazon Prime‘s instant video selection just doubled thanks to a new deal with EPIX, a video on-demand service that was previously exclusive to Netflix.
With an extra 2,000 titles in stock, the deal does wonders for Amazon, but already cost Netflix stock an 1%1 loss in share value. Now both competitive streaming services will receive titles from Paramount, MGM, and Lionsgate 90 days after hey run on traditional pay TV.
Following the expiration of Epix’s exclusivity with Netlflix, the company isn’t limiting itself to just two outlets either. Executives will continue to talk to other distributors for possible deals.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings has said that Epix’s library was “not a particularly large source of total viewing,” but we wonder if his company can continue to thrive while competitors are slowly gaining the edge in the market.
Guess time will tell!
Watch Out, Netflix! Amazon Gets MORE Shows!

Amazon.com definitely knows how to bring in the business!
The online retailer just announced Friday that it’ll be adding a variety of NBC shows for customers to watch as a part of its Prime Instant Video service!
For just $ 79 a year, customers can get UNLIMITED two-day free shipping on whatever they buy from Amazon, along with access to the free videos!
Not a bad deal at all!
Previous seasons of shows such as Heroes, Parks And Recreation and Parenthood will all be made available, on top of about 22,000 movies and other various TV eps!
Sounds pretty cool to us…especially if you already do tons of shopping on the site!

Amazon Founder Donates MILLIONS To Gay Marriage Support!

Jeff Bezos is a rad, rad man.
Not only is he the founder of Amazon.com (which is pretty amazing itself), but he’s donating $ 2.5 million to help Washington state law that legalized gay marriage survive a referendum coming in November!
He and his wife are now some of the largest donors to gay marriage in the country!
Being anti-love, opponents immediately started a campaign to recall the law that legalized gay marriage in Washington in February.
Luckily, the pro-gay marriage camp is out-raising its opponents in Washington — both Microsoft‘s Bill Gates and Steven Ballmer each gave $ 100,000 to same-sex marriage supporters!
With this kind of support in more places, we bet equality could be spread throughout the nation!
How fab would that be??

Watch out, Netflix!
Amazon is gunnin’ for that #1 spot!
Hundred of films and television shows owned by MGM are being added to Amazon Prime – a video subscription service sort of like Netflix.
Some of these films include The Terminator, Dances With Wolves, Rain Man, and The Silence of the Lambs.
Wow!
We’ve never heard of any of those movies (we think they’re foreign films) but we’re sure they’re fantastic! 
Amazon Prime is looking mighty fine!!!
Amazon founder Bezos finds Apollo 11 engines on sea floor

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (Reuters) – Space enthusiast and entrepreneur Jeff Bezos has found the rocket motors used to send the Apollo 11 astronauts to the moon and plans to mount a recovery expedition soon, the Amazon.com CEO and founder reported on a blog post. The five F-1 engines were fired up on July 16, 1969, sending the massive Saturn 5 rocket on its way to the moon. The motors burned out a few minutes after liftoff from the Kennedy Space Center and tumbled into the Atlantic Ocean. …
